Como restaurador, puedo decir que un proceso de restauración es un trabajo minucioso y delicado que implica recuperar la integridad original de una obra.
Cuando un objeto llega a mis manos, realizo un examen detallado para determinar el alcance de los daños y diseño un plan de acción específico y adecuado.
El proceso de restauración puede implicar la eliminación de suciedad y agentes contaminantes, la consolidación de las partes que se han desintegrado o se han separado del objeto, la reintegración de las áreas perdidas, la eliminación de repintes, y la estabilización de la estructura de la obra.
